Senior Video Editor

Overview

As a senior video editor at Ajax Creative, you will be responsible for editing and producing videos from raw footage for external and internal purposes.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Transform raw video footage into a finished product.
  • Find the best clips and merge those clips into one cohesive video that is in line with the direction of the video’s goals.
  • Follow a script, screenplay or outline.
  • Work closely with directors to present a final product that matches his or her vision.
  • Capture high-quality photographs and videos.
  • Record important events using camera, lighting, and audio equipment.
  • Manipulate and edit film pieces in a way that is invisible to the audience.
  • Design, transport, set up, and operate production equipment, including audio and lighting equipment, for field and studio productions.
  • Input music, dialogues, graphics and effects.
  • Edit captured video to tell concise, visually pleasing stories.
  • Trim footage segments and put together the sequence of the film.
  • Create short promotional videos for the hiring companies or for personal marketing purposes of Ajax Creative.
  • Film videos on set or on location.
  • Continuously discover and implement new editing technologies and industry best practices to maximize efficiency.

Skills and Qualification

  • Proficiency in editing software programs.
  • Good communication skills.
  • General understanding of computers and digital equipment and knowledge of new and cutting-edge technology.
  • Ability to take and follow direction, while also having a creative eye for improvements.
  • A complete portfolio depicting the works undertaken so far.
  • Solid experience of using video editing software like Davinci Resolve, Adobe Premiere, etc.

Experience

At least six years of experience in a similar role.
