Summary

Ajax Creative is actively seeking a highly organized and technically skilled Assistant Editor to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will serve as the vital link between our production and post-production teams, ensuring a smooth workflow from shoots to the final product. This role includes downloading and managing all footage post-shoot, file organization, assisting our social media team by editing behind-the-scenes content and preparing the groundwork for our post-production team, including preparing footage for our offline editors, colorists, and sound designers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Downloading and managing all footage post-shoot and ensuring its safe storage
  • Implementing and managing efficient media management systems
  • Organizing files and preparing them for the post-production team
  • Assisting offline editors, colorists, sound designers, and online editors in their respective processes
  • Editing behind-the-scenes content for our social media team
  • Maintaining clear communication between production and post-production teams
  • Ensuring timely delivery of tasks and meeting project deadlines

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as an Assistant Editor with a strong portfolio of successful projects.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a similar role
  • Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, Davinci Resolve, or similar video editing software
  • Knowledge of media storage systems and file organization
  • Experience with social media content editing is a plus
  • Excellent organizational skills and keen attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work under tight deadlines
  • Strong communication and team collaboration skills
  • Passion for commercial production with a keen interest in learning and growing within the industry
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of projects.
  • Flexibility to work long hours, travel, and work on weekends or holidays, as needed.
