Ajax Creative is seeking multiple experienced and technically proficient Freelance Pipeline Technical Directors to join our talent pool on a per project, on-call contract basis. As a Freelance Pipeline Technical Director, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining the technical pipeline that supports our animation, VFX, and post-production teams. You will collaborate closely with artists, developers, and production teams to ensure that our workflows are efficient, reliable, and scalable.

• Design, develop, and maintain the production pipeline for animation and VFX projects.
• Collaborate with artists and developers to identify and solve technical challenges.
• Implement tools and scripts to automate and streamline workflows.
• Ensure the pipeline is scalable, efficient, and integrates seamlessly with various software.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues that arise during production.
• Stay updated on the latest industry tools and technologies to enhance pipeline efficiency.
• Provide technical support and training to team members on pipeline tools and processes.

• Proven experience as a Pipeline Technical Director or in a similar role, with a strong portfolio.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, as well as experience with relevant software (e.g., Maya, Houdini, Nuke).
• Strong understanding of animation, VFX, and post-production workflows.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to design efficient pipeline solutions.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexibility to work on a per project, on-call basis with varying timelines.
• Strong communication skills in English for effective collaboration with the team.
