Ajax Creative is seeking experienced VFX Coordinators on a freelance, per-project, on-call basis. In this role, you will manage communication, scheduling, and asset tracking between our internal teams, vendors, and clients ensuring VFX deliverables flow smoothly through the pipeline. You’ll be the central hub for shot data, version control, and review notes, helping the team focus on their craft while you keep everything on track.

• Coordinate daily VFX production tasks, ensuring deadlines and priorities are met across all departments.
• Maintain detailed shot tracking, asset status, and delivery schedules using production management tools.
• Facilitate communication between VFX supervisors, artists, producers, and clients.
• Schedule and lead internal/external review sessions; compile and distribute notes with clear action items.
• Oversee version control and ensure file naming conventions and pipeline protocols are followed.
• Anticipate scheduling conflicts and proactively adjust timelines or resources.
• Track client feedback and ensure revisions are executed accurately and efficiently.
• Support onboarding for new team members with relevant project context and resources.

• Proven experience as a VFX Coordinator in a post-production, animation, or VFX studio environment.
• Strong familiarity with VFX workflows, terminology, and asset types.
• Proficiency in project management tools such as ShotGrid, ftrack, Trello, or similar.
• Excellent organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities, capable of bridging creative and technical teams.
• Ability to adapt quickly to shifting priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
• Comfortable working across multiple time zones in a remote production pipeline.
• Flexible availability on a per-project, contract basis with varying timelines.
